Monsters 01:34
I was trying to find out why I felt this feeling; I didn’t manage to give myself a logical reason. Like a switch I flicked the fuse, And when the lights sparked back there was nothing to prove, And I can only conclude: There are tiny little monsters hiding in a heart-shaped box, When you break the lock they run wild, fighting all the time, Filling up my mind with emotions all the time, Screaming all around my body Somebody please tell me why I was hoping I could find somebody that could make them all go away; But these awkward beasts are certainly here to stay. It’s a pic’n’mix I can’t choose, Every day is a gamble that I’ll win and lose And I can only conclude: There are tiny little monsters hiding in a heart-shaped box, When you break the lock they run wild, fighting all the time, Filling up my mind with emotions all the time, Screaming all around my body Somebody please tell me why They’re filling up my mind with emotions all the time, Screaming all around my body Somebody please tell me why; Somebody please tell me why.

You built those obstacles between us; I told you they ruined the view, But still I tried to see through, through to you; Guess I didn’t realise, yet again, That you were colourblind to who I was back then You’re blind, you’re blind to my kaleidoscope colours, Colours too bright for your closed eyes and your closed mind, And your closed sense of sensitivity; I’ve tried, I’ve tried to show you my reality, But each time I tried, you got mad at me Well seasons may change, But my colours will stay the same through my kaleidoscope Autumn leaves will paint a rainbow through a tunnel of frosted glass, With spiderwebs defining symmetry; My asymmetrical past doesn’t bother me anymore, Now that I know what I want to live for, So how can you assume my personality when my reality’s worth so much more? You’re blind, you’re blind to my kaleidoscope colours, Colours too bright for your closed eyes and your closed mind, And your closed sense of sensitivity; I’ve tried, I’ve tried to show you my reality, But each time I tried, you got mad at me Well seasons may change, But my colours will stay the same through my kaleidoscope You couldn’t see through my kaleidoscope, So I offered you a periscope, But you built more walls and corners around me, You still couldn’t see, So I made you a telescope, Just to offer you a little more hope, But you couldn’t see beyond, Wish I could make a magic wand To get you to see like me But you’re blind, you’re blind to my kaleidoscope colours, Colours too bright for your closed eyes and your closed mind, And your closed sense of sensitivity; I’ve tried, I’ve tried to show you my reality, But each time I tried, you got mad at me Well seasons may change, But my colours will stay the same through my kaleidoscope.

Five legged spider, spin me a silk robe, Show me your home and make me some money for your money tree; Don’t you forget that you’re never too old, Let yourself grow, you might turn into what you wanna be; Caterpillars sleep around you,
Butterflies break free; Even still you’re never bound to anything, So go make some money for your money tree You’re a money tree spider, And I’m a money tree spender; Would you rather be poor but wiser, Or spend money on a six week bender? Gotta gotta get away from the greed, Gotta sow the money tree seed, then leave Gotta gotta get away from the greed, Money is worth more than you need Two legged stranger, tell me your story, How does it feel now you’re sitting sky high in your money tree? Are you living the dream, or does it ever get boring? Maybe you might soon find it’s just not what you wanna be. Pessimistic folk surround you, Bitterness and jealousy, Even still, you’re never bound to anything, So go make some money for your money tree You’re a money tree spider, And I’m a money tree spender Would you rather be poor but wiser, Or spend money on a six week bender? Gotta gotta get away from the greed, Gotta sow the money tree seed, then leave Gotta gotta get away from the greed Money is worth more than you need Money is worth more than you need Gotta gotta get away from the greed, Gotta sow the money tree seed, then leave, Gotta gotta get away from the greed, Money is worth more than you need.

Broken lipstick on the floor, Broken messages from before, I left my railcard on the floor, Thought I won’t need it anymore No need to catch another train, No need to think those thoughts again, Those voices echo round my brain, I drink up the love, I sip down the pain Drink up the love, sip down the pain, Rise up to hate, bow down to fame Filter those fragments, fill the space, Let your heart’s pulse control the pace I’m raking stars from the bottom of the sky, Fishing birds from the clouds, Trying to turn this all around I’m running wild and I’m walking on air, I’m on the road to anywhere You can follow me if you dare, You can follow me if you dare I tried to be a better me, Correcting my errors silently, If only red zigzag lines would bring warning signs to my errors in real life I tried to re-dictate my past, Untagging old evidence, but you laughed, Said you still know it’s me, All the others can still see what I used to be Past, future, present - they’ll unite, What’s right’s now wrong, what’s wrong is right The board was black, but now it’s white, I’m turning day into night I’m raking stars from the bottom of the sky, Fishing birds from the clouds, Trying to turn this all around I’m running wild and I’m walking on air, I’m on the road to anywhere You can follow me if you dare, You can follow me Drink up the love, sip down the pain, Rise up to hate, bow down to fame Filter those fragments, fill the space, Let your heart’s pulse control the pace Past, future, present - they’ll unite, What’s right’s now wrong, what’s wrong is right The board was black, but now it’s white, I’m turning day into night I’m raking stars from the bottom of the sky, Fishing birds from the clouds, Trying to turn this all around I’m running wild and I’m walking on air, I’m on the road to anywhere You can follow me if you dare, You can follow me if you dare, Don’t you follow me, don’t you dare

Are you a duck on water, or just a lamb to slaughter?
You wanna fight the thunderstorm, you better let your clothes get torn
Don’t wanna look behind you, in case a vulture spies you,
A dream-catcher waiting for the great risk you’re taking

But you travel at the speed of unicorns,
Glittering like lightening bolts
At the speed of unicorns,
Glittering like lightening bolts

The speed of unicorns,
Glittering like lightening bolts.
At the speed of unicorns,
Glittering like lightening A different kind of voltage, A new sense of mobility, You’re gonna reach your destiny There’s roadkill in the sky tonight, There’s roadkill in the sky tonight Red arrows lead us out of sight, They’ll teach you how to fly tonight You’re gonna wash the world in tie-dye, Until the people turn colourblind, Camouflaged in a coloured sky, Hypnotised in hydrolight You’ve dipped the stars in glow paint, Wearing a cape of crystaline You wanna let yourself be seen, Even though you’re travelling so fast, At the speed of unicorns, Glittering like lightening bolts (x4) There’s roadkill in the sky tonight, There’s roadkill in the sky tonight Red arrows lead us out of sight, They’ll teach you how to fly tonight Can you feel the light? Can you feel the light? Can you feel the light on your fingertips, When you’re traveling so fast? (x2) At the speed of unicorns, Glittering like lightning bolts The speed of unicorns, Glittering like lightning A different kind of voltage, A new sense of mobility, You’re gonna reach your destiny There’s roadkill in the sky tonight, There’s roadkill in the sky tonight Red arrows lead us out of sight, They’ll teach you how to fly tonight There’s roadkill in the sky tonight, There’s roadkill in the sky tonight Red arrows lead us out of sight, They’ll teach you how to fly tonight

I saw a creature in the corner of my mind, So small yet weatherproof, so beaten but so blind My coat was dripping wet, her feathers were forever warm and dry, The rain-clouds passed her by She’s an umbrella bird, She sees the world through shiny spectacles She’s an optimistic girl, Where did she learn to disconnect negativities When the rain falls it pours but when the bird flies she soars, She’s an umbrella bird, She’ll make the best of a bad world, She’ll stay dry I thought I’d find a leaf from a different kind of tree, But when I tried the darker skies still followed me I then remembered that small bird within my mind, And the glitter in her sunny eyes reminded me to smile She’s an umbrella bird,
She sees the world through shiny spectacles She’s an optimistic girl, Where did she learn to disconnect negativities When the rain falls it pours but when the bird flies she soars, She’s an umbrella bird, She’ll make the best of a bad world, She’ll stay dry When the rain falls it pours, and she’s ready for a swim, When the bird flies she soars, takes anything within her wing Are the clouds half full or empty? Is the grey more black or white? Though the bad times sure are plenty, She doesn’t let them in her mind She’s an umbrella bird,
She sees the world through shiny spectacles She’s an optimistic girl, Where did she learn to disconnect negativities When the rain falls it pours but when the bird flies she soars, She’s an umbrella bird, She’ll make the best of a bad world, She’ll stay dry She’ll stay dry She’ll stay dry

Fool's Gold 04:04
She’s sat on a sew-er, sewing her dreams She’s sad on a singer, a singing machine She’s starting to grow up, spilling the seeds She’s sad you don’t know that she’s sowing the seams Invisible thread forming a web, Tying the thoughts that are trapped round her head, She’d rather forget, forget what the others said; Memories of coal lay in her soul while she grows old Happiness sold for silver and gold Metal for fools, shrapnel and jewels, Diamonds of stone, rubies of bone, Fool’s gold, fool’s silver, fool’s sold; Where her love goes, she never knows, Ribbons and bows keep her together Like old friends when secrets don’t stay untold Fool’s gold, fool’s silver, fools sold She hides in a cellar, a cellar unseen Where she sits at her sew-er, sewing her dreams Tainted hands cannot reach her, they can’t weave in-between She’s safe by her singer, her singing machine Invisible thread forming a web, Tying the thoughts that are trapped round her head, She’d rather forget, forget what the others said; Memories of coal lay in her soul while she grows old Happiness sold for silver and gold Metal for fools, shrapnel and jewels, Diamonds of stone, rubies of bone, Fool’s gold, fool’s silver, fool’s sold; Where her love goes, she never knows, Ribbons and bows keep her together Like old friends when secrets don’t stay untold Metal for fools, shrapnel and jewels, Diamonds of stone, rubies of bone, Fool’s gold, fool’s silver, fool’s sold; Where her love goes, she never knows, Ribbons and bows keep her together Like old friends when secrets don’t stay untold Fool’s gold, fool’s silver, fools sold Fool’s gold fool’s silver, fools sold

I’m not right, you’re not wrong,
I’ve lost sight but I’m still strong
The shadows in the road still show me where to go,
The meadow’s only greener on the land we don’t know
I don’t care what you think,
I’m trying to swim, and you’re telling me to sink
I’m never giving up, I’ve never had enough
‘Til I’ve crossed the bridge like the Billy Goats Gruff There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But I don’t care, I don’t care what he’s hiding I won’t compromise for my sweet pasture far away There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But he won’t make, he won’t make me stop trying I won’t let him worry my brain, ‘Til I’m grazing on the green grass far away Then we’ll see what he has to say La la la, la la la, la la la la la la la la La la la la la, la la la ah ah ah The grass wears thin, I look around at the mess that I’ve got myself in There’s no way back, I’ve got to move along the track to some place new I don’t care what you think,
I’m trying to swim, and you’re telling me to sink
I’m never giving up, I’ve never had enough
‘Til I’ve crossed the bridge like the Billy Goats Gruff There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But I don’t care, I don’t care what he’s hiding I won’t compromise for my sweet pasture far away There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But he won’t make, he won’t make me stop trying I won’t let him worry my brain, ‘Til I’m grazing on the green grass far away Then we’ll see what he has to say Watch your footsteps in the mud, don’t you trip and fall face down, Don’t let the tricksters cool your blood, they’ll try to bring you down flat down Don’t you struggle in the quicksand Don’t go holding the helpless hand
Don’t go letting them make you believe that you’re just another let down You’re gonna turn this life around There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But I don’t care, I don’t care what he’s hiding I won’t compromise for my sweet pasture far away There’s a troll in the water under the bridge, But he won’t make, he won’t make me stop trying I won’t let him worry my brain, ‘Til I’m grazing on the green grass far away Then we’ll see what he has to say La la la, la la la, la la la la la la la la La la la la la, la la la ah ah ah (x2) My sweet pasture far away’s not too far away

Strawberry laces defying the laws of gravity
Unravelling places where footprints were laid in our reality Struggling faces trying to recall our memory Lying adjacent discussing the shapes that our star-based lives will be As we fly in a bubble in the sky called Jodie's Spaceship We admire all the wondrous creatures surrounding us, Each one astounding our minds, The prospect of time is delusional, life's an illusion gone wild We float by through the day and the night In a bubble in the sky called Jodie's Spaceship Wish on a meteorite, she'll supply warming light Morphing like plasticine, glowing with colours so bright We find photographs from the past, annotate them and laugh Lost souvenirs swim around us avoiding our path As we fly in a bubble in the sky called Jodie's Spaceship We admire all the wondrous creatures surrounding us, Each one astounding our minds, The prospect of time is delusional, life's an illusion gone wild We float by through the day and the night In a bubble in the sky called Jodie's Spaceship

Mr Dandylion 02:48
There’s something in the jungle too big for the bear trap, This journey seemed like fun but I think it’s time to head back Ginormous paws indented upon the golden beach I think they’re trying to tell us, ‘Stay away, keep out of reach’
Don’t be so silly,
Noones out to harm you, so don’t you harm your mind Embrace the lion’s den,
Have a look inside, you’ll look surprised
When you find Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never learnt to frown When he roars with laughter his sunny mane grows bright Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never once felt down Each mighty smile will light a thousand eyes, He’ll paint the blue-drops yellow through the night I think they’re out to get me, All the weeds in the undergrowth I don’t think I’m quite ready
I’ll take a breath, I’ll take it slow

I’ve heard a million fables,
Dark myths and terror tales
Our lives are far too precious
I think it’s time to bail Don’t be so ignorant, Explore the world and you won’t be so blind Take a breath in the lion’s den, Have a look inside, you’ll look surprised And you’ll find Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never learnt to frown When he roars with laughter his sunny mane grows bright Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never once felt down Each mighty smile will light a thousand eyes, He’ll paint the blue-drops yellow, Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never learnt to frown When he roars with laughter his sunny mane grows bright Mr Dandylion’s a dandy lion, never once felt down Each mighty smile will light a thousand eyes, He’ll paint the blue-drops yellow through the night

I’m on a magic sheepskin rug,
I’m flying through the sky to Neverland
I’ll never land, I’m never gonna hit the ground
I’m on a magic sheepskin rug,
It’s softer than the clouds Count your candles, count your sheep, Watch your wishes and your dreams become reality And whatever you do, don’t wake Climb aboard this daydream, And you will feel like nothing’s real Climb aboard this daydream I’m on a magic sheepskin rug,
I’m flying through the sky to Neverland
I’ll never land, I’m never gonna hit the ground
I’m on a magic sheepskin rug,
It’s softer than the clouds Count your candles, count your sheep, Watch your wishes and your dreams become reality And whatever you do, don’t wake Climb aboard this daydream, And you will feel like nothing’s real Climb aboard this daydream, And you will find all that’s left to find In the dusty corners of your mind You’ll be absorbed by abnormality While you ignore the laws of gravity

Way up high in the castle I’m climbing,
Somebody is waiting to hold me back down
With a head full of serpents she stands by my throne
To turn me to stone
She thinks I don’t know that

Each shape is a ladder to a new hidden door, Leave old ones behind you, and life will make more More windows lie open, more ladders await I’ll class difficult boundaries as different shapes I’ll spend time making shapes out of ladders and doors, So the world doesn’t have to be round; I’ll live for the sculptures I choose to create, Not just any old shape, not just any old girl I will travel the world making shapes, Shapes and ladders I look down at the rosebush below me, Those thorns must be lonely with no-one to hurt, I carry on up with my head in the clouds, No space for a frown on my face now I’ve found that Each shape is a ladder to a new hidden door, Leave old ones behind you, and life will make more More windows lie open, more ladders await I’ll class difficult boundaries as different shapes I’ll spend time making shapes out of ladders and doors, So the world doesn’t have to be round; I’ll live for the sculptures I choose to create, Not just any old shape, not just any old girl I will travel the world making shapes, Shapes and ladders Shapes and ladders Six plus five plus four plus three Plus two plus one; Those dots count dizzy years, They’ll keep rolling around in my mind, But I’ve found that a fresh new die Lies in my hand so tight, I never knew that I could do anything, But now I’m ready to spend my time I’m ready to spend my time making shapes out of ladders and doors, So the world doesn’t have to be round; I’ll live for the sculptures I choose to create, Not just any old shape, not just any old girl I will travel the world making shapes, Shapes and ladders Shapes and ladders Shapes and ladders.
